Last month, I went to a dance movement therapy workshop. I had planned to go on the overnight bus, as it's the most economical way to get up to Tokyo. BUT, it snowed so much that the bus got canceled. Around midnight, I finally got back home from the bus stop. I can walk here in Japan at midnight, and not feel scared...kinda amazing, don't you think?
The next morning around 4am, I headed out to Osaka to catch the shinkansen instead. Poof!! There goes my budget for the month! Argh.
After couple of days, I came back home. The sidewalk was frozen so I was being real careful not to slip and fall...then I looked to the side and saw the sun coming up. Stopped to take the view in. Pretty, huh?

Wow. We're sweating in CA. Looks pretty though. How much is the overnight bus compared to shinkansen? I remember taking an overnight bus from your place a long time ago =).
I can't believe it's hot over there already! It was freezing cold today! I finally got some snacks for you so I can send those charms to you tomorrow.
Overnight bus to Tokyo can be anywhere from 10,000-16,000 yen R/T. I can no longer bear the 10,000 yen class bus, so I take the 16,000 yen one these days. Shinkansen is around 15,000 one-way for me. So double.
ooo thanks! There are times when I crave sweet snacks, (mostly when I'm tired) and today I had nothing sweet in my house so I gave in to temptation and ate the box of strawberry pocky that I was planning to give to my friend... I had prevailed until today...boohoo (oh well)
Yeah, I know what you mean. I got some goodies for you and I predicted that "some of this stuff is gonna end up in my stomach before I actually send it off." Amazingly, I put the stuff in a small box and sent it off today, so none of it disappeared =).
